Jeroen Rijpkema, Chair of the Executive Board and CEO of Triodos Bank:

“Although I regret that André will leave the bank, I respect his decision to look for a new step in his career. André has helped to bring our finance function to a next level and played an instrumental role in solidifying and diversifying our capital base. He has been the driving force behind our successful launch of our first Green Bond last year. We will miss his insightful, sharp and challenging contribution to our decision making. I would like to express my gratitude for his hard work and the results he has achieved and wish him all the best for the next phase of his professional life.”

Mike Nawas, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Triodos Bank:

“It’s always a challenge when good people leave the organisation. And I’m therefore very pleased that recently appointed Supervisory Board member Willem Horstmann is willing to temporarily step down from his role in the Supervisory Board to join the Executive Board in the capacity of CFRO on an interim basis. I’m confident that his experience will help the Executive Board and the bank as a whole to successfully continue to deliver on its strategy.”

André Haag, CFO of Triodos Bank:

“It is an honour and a privilege to work for this values-driven bank that is truly unique in the way it tries to use money to make the world a better place for everyone. And while I look forward to exploring my next options and ensure a diligent handover of my tasks and responsibilities, I’ll cherish having worked with very committed colleagues here at Triodos and would like to thank the bank for the trust in me and the opportunity it has given me to be part of their journey.”

Triodos Bank will consult the Works Council and the Supervisory Board will notify the General Meeting of the intended appointment of Willem Horstmann. An Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) will take place in the 2nd half of June 2022. The appointment will take effect immediately after the EGM.

The Supervisory Board will start the search for a permanent candidate for the role of CFO.
