Investment rationale

Enexis is a key player in facilitating the energy transition. The company’s core activity besides energy distribution is managing and upgrading the network grid to improve the distribution of renewable energy. Enexis accommodates grid expansion to:
- enable decentralized renewable electricity generation;
- create smart grid to equip stations with distribution automation and distribution automation light;
- facilitate green gas transmission by leveraging existing infrastructure;
- install smart meters;
- enable district heating in densely populated areas and provide energy storage solutions.

Alignment with Triodos Transitions: In total 100.0% of the proceeds of the impact bond is aligned with one or more Triodos Transitions. 79.5% of proceeds is allocated to the Energy Transition and 20.5% of proceeds is allocated to the Resource Transition.

The contribution to Energy Transition comes from 59.0% of proceeds allocated to Renewable Energy, and 20.5% of proceeds allocated to Energy Efficiency. The contribution to Resource Transition comes from 20.5% of proceeds allocated to Green Buildings.
