The gathering was designed to celebrate the relationships that make positive impact possible and to strengthen the connections that support the transition towards a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient economy.

Building a community around shared values

Inspired by the organic forms of Triodos Bank’s new visual identity, the theme of the day was “connections”. The concept reflects the idea of a community as an interconnected network, in which every individual and organisation contributes to creating positive change.

The event opened with a welcome from Benedek Vasy, Managing Director of Triodos Bank Spain, who highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving long-term social and environmental impact. Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences and learn from one another through a wide range of activities and conversations.

Representatives from customer organisations, social enterprises, cultural initiatives and impact-driven businesses shared their perspectives on how finance can contribute to addressing today’s challenges while supporting people and communities.

Learning, inspiration and shared experiences

The programme included participatory dialogue sessions, creative workshops and spaces dedicated to inspiration and reflection. Organisations from across the Triodos ecosystem presented their work and exchanged ideas on topics ranging from social inclusion and culture to sustainability and community building.

Participants also explored the impact of charitable giving and the role of philanthropy in driving positive change, with contributions from organisations connected to the wider Triodos community.

Designed as a space for meaningful encounters and shared learning, the event encouraged conversations across sectors and generations, creating opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones.

Looking ahead together

The gathering also featured the presentation of the Triodos Community Award to Fundación HOPE!, recognising its contribution to raising awareness of positive solutions and inspiring sustainable transitions through constructive storytelling and public engagement.

Looking towards the future was another central element of the day. Participants were invited to share their hopes and reflections for the coming decade, contributing messages that were placed inside a time capsule to be opened in the future.

The initiative served as a reminder that meaningful change is built over time and that optimism, collaboration and shared purpose remain essential ingredients for creating a positive impact.

As the day drew to a close, participants celebrated the strength and diversity of the Triodos community and reaffirmed their commitment to working together towards a society that places people, nature and quality of life at its heart.
