Ampere Equity Fund acquires 100% in three operational wind farms from Hurrikan Power

16-06-2011 | Zeist, 16 June 2011 - Ampere Equity Fund, managed by Triodos Investment Management, acquires 100% in a 39.6 MW portfolio of three operational wind farms in Germany from affiliates of Hurrikan Power Funding Holding GmbH.

The wind farms are located in the Lüchow area in the municipalities of Schweskau, Tobringen and Lübbow-Bösel. The development and construction of the wind farms was funded by Hurrikan Power, an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC.

The Portfolio produces approximately 53 million kWh per annum, which equals the average consumption of 25,000 households. In terms of emissions, the projects saves approx. 45,000 tons of CO2

The wind farms are equipped with 24 Enercon Turbines and are in operation since 2008 and 2009. The Portfolio benefits from the 20 years German feed-in tariff. Triodos Bank Germany will act as the senior debt provider of the operational companies.
