Stichting Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen, een vrijwilligersorganisatie, heeft het fort gerestaureerd en omgevormd tot kunstfort. Het fort, onderdeel van de Stelling van Amsterdam en Unesco-monument, biedt diverse ruimtes aan. In 2007 won de stichting de cultuurprijs Haarlemmermeer.
