Triodos Investment Management is pleased to announce that Itske Lulof has been appointed as Director Energy and Climate. With this promotion Itske succeeds Jacco Minnaar, who previously fulfilled the position and was appointed as Managing Director as per 1 June 2017. Itske, who currently is fund manager of Triodos Groenfonds, has taken on this new role as per 1 September 2017. As Director Energy and Climate she is responsible for managing and developing new and existing investment activities in renewable energy and infrastructure for Triodos IM.

With her longstanding record of accomplishment in both the renewable energy and investment industry, Itske is very well positioned to take on this role. She has been Fund Manager of Triodos Groenfonds since 2010 and was Fund Manager of Triodos Renewables Europe Fund from 2005 through 2007. Besides her roles at Triodos Investment Management, she has fulfilled positions as country manager and business development manager in Eastern Europe for renewable energy companies and has fulfilled several investment management positions in the energy and environment and microfinance sectors at the DOEN Foundation. Itske has been closely involved in the development of the SER energy agreement in 2013 and acts as chairperson of the council of Greenfunds of the Dutch Banking Association. She has an affinity for improving access to finance for non-mainstream energy projects.

Itske Lulof: “Triodos has a unique track record and strong relationships in the Energy and Climate sector, both in European and increasingly in Emerging markets. I look forward towards leading and empowering our Energy & Climate team to continue to work with and further build these relationships to their fullest extent. Together we can cooperate and facilitate the energy transition that is inevitably needed.”

Itske will continue to manage Triodos Groenfonds until a new fund manager is appointed.
