Ipak Yuli Bank

Microfinance (Social)

A significant part of Uzbekistan's population still has no or limited access to bank services. Ipak Yuli Bank currently services over 8,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, that play an important role in the growth of the economy. Product innovation is high on Ypak Yuli Bank’s agenda. To give an example: the bank will look into the possibilities to develop green financing; this could be loans to buy solar equipment.

Triodos Microfinance Fund and Triodos Fair Share Fund have provided a loan to Ipak Yuli Bank to further realise its growth ambitions. This loan fits the Triodos funds' strategy to stimulate the SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) sector in emerging and developing economies.

Whoever you are, and wherever you live in the world, you are likely to want permanent access to financial services. Microfinance banks play a crucial role providing access to finance to an increasing number of people living on low-incomes. We finance microfinance institutions because they help to build inclusive financial sectors, where the majority of people have access to financial services, leading to a sustainable basis for balanced social and economic development.
