Investments in the microfinance sector
Triodso SICAV II - Triodos Microfinance Fund aims to increase access to financial services for the working poor in developing countries
Triodos Microfinance Fund offers a financially and socially sound investment in the microfinance sector. The aim is to deliver a full range of financial services to low-income people in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe, ranging from loans and savings products to payment facilities and insurance. Generally, the investments of the fund will be allocated to financial institutions that provide financial services to micro-entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises, which in many countries, still lack access to financial services.
The fund invests mostly, directly or indirectly, in microfinance institutions and other applicable financial institutions that have a track record and have gone through the first phase of rapid growth and are financially sustainable.
