About investing
Triodos Bank finances companies, institutions and projects that benefit people, the environment and culture, with the support of investors who want to see more socially responsible business and a sustainable society.
We want to raise more capital to finance our continued growth, so that we can lend more money to an even wider range of inspiring ethical organisations. We have around 15,000 investors, known as depository receipt holders, who recognise that sustainability pays. Many of them are institutions who can invest in up to a maximum of just under 10% of the available capital. And all of them have chosen to invest in one of the world’s most sustainable banks.
We operate a euro-denominated matched-bargain market, which ordinarily means depository receipts can be bought and sold on a weekly basis. Very large stakes may take longer.
