Ampere Equity Fund invests in two wind parks developed by Aldesa Energías Renovables in Spain.

21-07-2011 | Madrid, 21 July 2011 - Ampere Equity Fund, managed by Triodos Investment Management, invests in two wind farms developed by Aldesa Energías Renovables with a total capacity of 80 MW.

The wind farms are located in the regions of Murcia and Andalucia (Spain), and will be built by Aldesa Construcciones, S.A.. The windparks will be connected mid 2012. They will consist out of 25 wind generators of the latest Gamesa built G97 model and 15 wind generators of the G90 model of 2 MW total capacity each.

Ampere Equity Fund and Aldesa Group have jointly negotiated and closed the senior debt financing with a syndicate of banks composed of Banesto, Bankia, Caixabank, Santander and WestLB. Financial Close of the senior debt financing took place simultaniously with closing of the acquisition.

Aldesa Energías Renovables

Grupo Aldesa develops its activities in the field of energy through its subsidiary Aldesa Energías Renovables. Created in 2006, it focuses its efforts on the development, design, construction and operation of wind farms and solar thermal and photovoltaic plants. The company has chosen North America and Eastern Europe as priority areas for its international expansion and in the mid-term, plans to geographically expand its renewable business into Latin America and India. Currently, Aldesa Energías Renovables has operations in five wind farms totalling more than 110 MW of installed power, as well as nine solar fields totalling 38.17 nominal MW.
