Hester and Ken Ross’s holiday business on the island of Islay offers visitors a luxury environmentally friendly holiday experience. Built by local craftsmen, the two turf-roofed cottages at Coillabus are clad in local stone and sit in harmony with their moorland surroundings. Sheeps’ wool insulation; reclaimed wood and Caithness slab flooring; and air source heating add to the eco-credentials of the development. All of which are matched by even more impressive views.
