There is great demand for financial services at the lower end of the market, yet the microfinance sector in Angola is still underdeveloped. Microfinance institution KixiCredito wants to make access to basic financial services easier. The loan provided by Triodos Sustainable Finance Foundation will enable KixiCredito to realise this ambition and expand its role as a market leader in the Angolan microfinance market. The institution is also looking into the possibilities for developing and implementing a solar lending product. KixiCredito plans to run a pilot for this loan product in Angola's capital city Luanda.
