LOLC Micro Credit Ltd. (LOMC) in Sri Lanka is a microfinance institution that forms part of the successful Lanka Orix Leasing Group. Lanka Orix Leasing Group has built up a solid position since 1980 as a provider of leasing and insurance products. LOMC started in 2009 by taking over a part of the Lanka Orix Leasing Group Microleasing portfolio. the institution primarily focuses on rural areas in Sri Lanka where it issues leasing products to farmers and group loans to women. Triodos Microfinance Fund, Triodos Fair Share Fund and Hivos-Triodos Fund have provided LOMC with a loan to enable the institution to expand its loan portfolio further.
