Eosta
Eosta is one of Europe’s largest trade organisations in organic fruit and vegetables. Eosta concentrates on two core activities: organic greenhouse products and fruit from the Southern hemisphere. Fruit is being distributed throughout Europe. Greenhouse products are distributed also to the USA, Canada and the Far East.
Eosta was founded on the principle that economy and ecology are indissolubly connected. Its corporate objective is to contribute to commercial as well as ecological and ethical values in the global market for certified organic agricultural products. Eosta is registered as a certified organic import/export, distribution and pre-packing company by SKAL, KRAV and Demeter, and is a corporate associate of IFOAM.
In June 2004 Eosta received the public ‘MVO’- award by the Dutch Minister of Agriculture for their innovative quality assurance system 'Nature and More' (www.natureandmore.com), an important prize for Enterprise in the sustainable development category.
