Tanzania - BioRe Tanzania Ltd.
BioRe Tanzania exports organic cotton that has been produced by a group of approximately 1,500 small farmers. BioRe Tanzania provides them training and advice in the field of organic production. The cotton is sold to the owner-founder of BioRe, the Swiss company Remei. Remei pays a relatively high price for the cotton and offers the farmers buyers' guarantee. The cotton is, among others, processed in the organic clothing line of one of the largest supermarket chains in Switzerland.
