K-Rep Bank is a full-fledged commercial bank that remains strongly committed to its mission. Through a network of 28 branches K-Rep provides its clients with a full range of financial services, including credit, savings, local and international money transfers. Over 50% of the loan portfolio is directed to micro entrepreneurs through the group lending methodology. In order to service clients adequately and to be able to reach a larger clientele also in remote areas K-Rep is increasingly utilizing ICT as a distribution channel. Most branches have ATM machines and in conjunction with Celtel & Packetstream K-Rep has developed a simple and convenient money transfer service using community payphones: Sokotele.
Triodos-Doen was one of the founding shareholders in K-Rep Bank and has a stake of 11%. Triodos-Doen is represented on the Board of Directors by a senior Triodos Bank co-worker.
