Sociedad Cooperativa de Ahorro y Credito AMC de R.L. (AMC) primarily focuses on the rural and semi-urban areas in the east of El Salvador. In this part of El Salvador, AMC has a network of well-equipped offices. In the fragmented Salvadoran microfinance market, AMC distinguishes itself by continous growth and by tapping into new markets in remote and poverty-stricken areas. In 2005, AMC increased its capital to able further growth. By renewing and increasing its loan, Hivos-Triodos Fund has also contributed to this growth.
