Mozambique - Socremo, Banco de Microfinanças SARL
In 2005, Socremo underwent an important institutional development. A diversification of the ownership structure (with among others Hivos-Triodos Fund partner AfriCap Microfinance Fund) and the acquired bank license were crucial to enable it to develop and become an important provider of differentiated financial services to the lower income groups in Mozambique. The loans were partly provided in syndicate with Novib Foundation and Triodos-Doen.
