TNT selects Triodos and OVG to implement the ‘Green Buildings’ initiative

17 January 2008 TNT selected Triodos Group and OVG to implement TNT’s Green Buildings initiative, recently announced as part of TNT’s Planet Me program.

TNT’s new head office in Hoofddorp will be the first of several Green Offices to be built across the Netherlands. The total portfolio will contain approximately 70.000 sqm of sustainable office space. TNT’s Green head office should be operational by 2010. TNT will rent this office at comparable or lower costs as its current rented head office in Hoofddorp.
Triodos and OVG will build and manage offices for TNT that are guaranteed to be 100% CO2 neutral during the entire exploitation period. A unique aspect of the partnership between TNT, Triodos and OVG is the long term commitment the parties have with each other in order to make sure the sustainability goals will be reached. Triodos and OVG both have a track record in the field of sustainability and corporate governance, which is why TNT selected these companies.

Triodos Group and OVG are both responsible for the sustainable design, built, management, investment and asset management of TNT’s Green Offices.
