Clean energy for the people of Nepal

15 February 2008 - Triodos Renewable Energy for Development Fund invests in Clean Energy Development Bank Nepal (CEDB) in Nepal.

Clean energy is a niche that was not serviced before by the financial sector in Nepal. Clean Energy Development Bank was, for that reason, set up in 2006 to finance opportunities in the energy sector. CEDB focuses on renewable energy technology, clean energy infrastructure projects, clean transport and rural electrification with the aim to strengthen the economic standard of the nation.

Triodos Renewable Energy for Development Fund has become a shareholder in CEDB by participating for 50% in FMO’s shareholding in CEDB.
