Through Sustainalytics, our in-house analysts have access to the research and expertise of European Corporate Governance Service (ECGS).

Sustainalytics
Sustainalytics is an international and independent sustainability research provider to the financial sector. Sustainalytics is specialised in analysing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance of companies and countries. Back in 2003, the predecessors of Sustainalytics were the co-founders and major shareholders of SiRi Company, which combined the research of ten ESG-research companies. As these companies broadened their range of products and the number of clients increased, the need for such an international network decreased. In September 2008, SiRi Company’s founders and controlling shareholders reached an agreement to cease the operations of their joint venture. To replace the services previously provided through SiRi, Sustainalytics launched its propriety platform in 2009.

ECGS
The European Corporate Governance Service (ECGS) is an alliance of eight independent research organisations that have come together to provide expert corporate governance assessments, informed proxy voting advice for investing institutions on Europe's largest quoted companies, and detailed market overviews of local corporate governance best practices. Through the ECGS network, high quality consistent analysis and informed proxy voting advice is provided for companies in the FTSE Eurotop 300 Index as well as leading local indices. Governance assessments are made against local best practice as well as global standards such as the OECD Guidelines of Corporate Governance and the Principles of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).
