Triodos Bank is a European bank with branches in The Netherlands (Zeist), Belgium (Brussels), the United Kingdom (Bristol), Spain (Madrid) and Germany (Frankfurt). The head office is in The Netherlands.

SAAT - Foundation for the Administration of Triodos Bank Shares
Triodos Bank believes it's crucial that its mission and identity is protected. As a result, all Triodos Bank's shares are held in trust by SAAT - the Foundation for the Administration of Triodos Bank Shares. SAAT then issues depositary receipts for Triodos Bank shares to the public and to institutions. These depositary receipts embody the economic aspects of the shares of Triodos Bank NV. In addition, it exercises the voting rights for the Triodos Bank NV shares. SAAT's Board of Management's voting decisions are guided by the Bank's ethical goals and mission, its buisiness interests, and the interests of the depositary receipt holders.

Triodos Bank depositary receipts are not listed on any stock exchange. Instead, it maintains an internal market.

Depositary receipt holders
Depositary receipt holders are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting of depositary receipt holders. Each one is limied to a maximum of 1,000 votes. The Annual General Meeting of depositary receipt holders appoints the members of SAAT's Board of Management, based on the recommendation of SAAT's Board of Management. These recommendations must be approved by Triodos Bank's Board of Management. No depositary receipt holder may hold more than 7.5% of all depositary receipts in issue.

Over 50,000 new clients join Triodos Bank
25 February 2010 - Funds entrusted to the Triodos Group, comprised of Triodos Bank, Triodos Investment Funds and Triodos Private Banking grew in 2009 by 30%, to EUR 4.9 billion. Customer numbers increased by over 50,000 to 242,000.
